Your Wedding can be beautiful and memorable without breaking the bank
I want to share a few tips for having the wedding of your dreams and still having some money left over for the honeymoon!
First, choose flowers in season.
Flowers that are in season, and therefore plentiful, at the time of your wedding are the best value. Also the quality is better in season.
Limit Varieties.
Choose one or two feature flowers to be used in all the bouquets and decor, and allow us to add value varieties that will complete the look.
Be Flexible.
We can suggest blossoms in your color choices to complete the style of your wedding. The price of flowers is affected by season, weather, and travel distance. If you give us some flexibility we can sometimes find excellent substitutions for premium varieties that will not change the overall look of your wedding.
Less is More.
Make a statement with a larger and more memorable bouquet rather than several smaller pieces. For example, 2 grand arrangements for the ceremony will stand out much better than 2 smaller ones, some candelabra decorations, and several modest bouquets in the aisle. The larger arrangements also photograph better.
Limit reception flowers to the two most important spots--the head table and the cake.
Draft friends to help.
This is your big day. Don't add to your stress by taking on responsibilities that a friend would be happy to do. Picking up and delivering the flowers to the ceremony, and pinning on corsages and boutonnieres will be a big help.
Consider a wedding package.
I am in the process of developing "Wedding Collections" which will simplify the planning process and reduce costs to brides. Each collection will feature seasonal personal flowers and ceremony decor. You only need to select your season, theme, and colors, and leave the rest to us. I will have more about the collections in a future blog.
